DivotHero collects the following information when you use the app: your email address (for account login), your approximate GPS location (to auto-detect which hole you are playing), and the before/after photos you take of course repairs.
Your email is used solely for authentication. GPS data is used in real-time to match your location to a hole on the course and is not stored after the match is made. Photos are stored in Firebase Storage and are associated with your repair submission for review by course staff.
Your repair submissions (including photos) are visible to staff at the golf course where you submitted them. They are not shared with other courses, other players, or any third party. Course staff use this data only to verify and approve your repairs.
Your before/after photos are sent to Google Gemini for automated quality analysis. This helps verify repairs are genuine. Google processes these images under their API terms of service and does not use them for model training.
All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is controlled by Firebase Authentication and Firestore Security Rules that enforce per-course tenant isolation.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@divothero.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We may update this policy as DivotHero evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
